Bonjour!

As it is unsual for me to post another journal entry (this being my second!), I thought I'd make an effort since I've finally gotten around to doing some artwork for myself again. A few exciting things have happened since the last entry. Most importantly: I've been married now for a year and two months. We've got our own flat and have found it a grand challenge to fit all of our combined possessions into small rooms and that IKEA is a very good friend. I've also progressed somewhat in my writing. Instead of one massive novel I now have two smaller stories that can be classed as separate books as they were written independently at first anyway. Many of my artworks on Deviant Art have some relevance to my epic saga, but I have recently polished them so that I can send them off with my manuscript to publishers. I've only sent the first book off to two publishers - no success thus far (waiting on a third to send back any interest from a small pitch) but I am encouraged to continue regardless until I manage to get that precious foot in the publishing door. As I've been working at a T Shirt store for the past two years I thought I might give the latest DA contest a shot. I'll post more about the books as things progress, but I'd love to get it out there as I've been putting it to the side for a while and it's exciting to get back into it again. Also check out Adelaide Illustrators at www.adelaideillustrators.com to see some of the exhibition work around.
